JOIN ONE OF OUR 2017 SUMMER READING CLUBS! Penn Hongthong, the author of Simple Laotian Cooking and Healthy Lao Cuisine and host of her own cooking show, “Simple Lao Cuisine” on YouTube will demonstrate how to make simple, healthy, and tasty Lao cooking. Dishes include lemongrass chicken, spicy chicken and cabbage stir-fry, and pumpkin pudding. There will be a tasting after. Please bring your own soft drink. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents.

BUILD A BETTER WORLD: SUMMER READING CLUB CARNIVAL FOR SUMMER READING CLUB PARTICIPANTS ONLY. Pick up your admission ticket when you sign up for the summer reading club starting June 19. Monday, June 26 from 6:00pm-8:00pm All Ages and an adult Celebrate the start of our annual summer reading club at our kickoff carnival! We’ll have carnival games, crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, mini golf, balloon animals by Nick the Balloonatic, prizes, and more. Food trucks will be available to purchase dinner and snack if you choose. Wrap up the evening with magician Jim McClenahan, who will delight our crowd with his magical and zany antics. It’s a whole night of fun for the entire family!
