SUNDAY AFTERNOONS AT THE LIBRARY GAIL STORM PRESENTS: A TRIBUTE TO CAROLE KING Sunday, May 6 at 2:00pm No Registration Required New York based performing artist and educational presenter Gail Storm will present a tribute to Carole King through a live performance and commentary. Selections from the multiple Grammy winning Tapestry album will be performed in addition to some of the many other songs she composed. Preference given to UFSD #22 residents. MEET AUTHOR MICHAEL O’KEEFE, AUTHOR OF SHOT TO PIECES: A NOVEL Monday, June 11 at 7:00pm Online Registration: May 21 Join author Michael O’Keefe for a talk about his book Shot to Pieces: A Novel . He will also discuss writing, how to publish your work, publicity, and Indie writing. You can pick up a copy of Shot to Pieces: A Novel at the Reference Desk beginning May 1. SUMMER READING CLUB CARNIVAL FOR SUMMER READING CLUB PARTICIPANTS WITH AN ADMISSION TICKET ONLY Monday, June 25 from 5:30pm-8:00pm All Ages and an adult Admission Tickets are available when you sign up for the summer reading club starting June 18. Celebrate the start of the summer reading club with our carnival! From 5:30pm-7:30pm, we’ll have inflatable games, a petting zoo, crafts, balloon animals, a princess meet and greet, face painting, a dunk tank, and more! Food trucks will be on-site for you to purchase dinner/snacks. At 7:30pm we’ll have a DJ dance party! For UFSD #22 residents who are registered for the summer reading club only. A RETRO MOBILE ARCADE IS COMING TO THE LIBRARY!
